A game at 7:00am? What?

If you’ve been happily pre-registering for events at KantCon 2018, you may have noticed something funny in your schedule recently. It could appear that all the events shifted earlier by 2 hours!

No, we did not suddenly change all the event times. Warhorn, the system we use for event sign-ups, made a change recently to allow everyone to customize to their local timezone. When this went into effect, most users were defaulted to the Pacific timezone. Unless you actually live on the west coast, this is probably not what you’d like to see!

We recommend that you change to Central Time, so that everything will line up with the timezone that KantCon will be in.

If you’d like to change your timezone in Warhorn, please follow these steps:

  • Go to the Warhorn website and log in to your account: https://warhorn.net

  • On a desktop:

  • Confirm what timezone your account is set to by looking in the upper right-hand corner of the screen:

  • On a mobile device:

  • You have to first click the hamburger menu in the upper right, and then you’ll see it above your account image:

  • Click the down arrow next to your account image, and choose the menu option Settings

  • Change the timezone drop-down to the correct value and then click Save changes:

Now the first events of the day start at 9:00 am Central, which matches how KantCon will be run.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions. Otherwise, we look forward to gaming with you in July!
