Happy 2024! It might seem early, but we are jumping in feet first getting KantCon ready for this summer. Since its inception, KantCon has grown dramatically every year, with last year reaching almost 1,000 attendees! This has been amazing, but also means it takes more hands to help than ever before. We are looking to grow the team that puts everything together (keeping in mind this is a completely volunteer run event, and no one will be paid for services). Please let us know if you are interested in any of the below positions, or pass it along if you know of someone who might want to help out and get a free weekend badge for the convention!
Social Media: Become part of a team that shares the responsibility of getting information posted on a regular basis. You do not need to be a writer, as we already have plenty of content, but need help posting on schedule.Potentially someone who knows how to do YouTube and might help with videos
Discord: KantCon has a server we are always looking to improve! For this position, we need someone who understands Discord and is willing to help monitor it prior to and during the convention.
Documentation help: The KantCon organizers are trying to create a more streamlined planning process and needs someone who is good at creating documentation, best practices, etc.who might help us organize what we know into written form.
Garage Sale Coordinator: Many KantCon attendees enjoy buying and selling used games at discounted prices as part of the garage sale. We need someone who is willing to take on the project of running the garage sale, handling setup and payouts.
Math Trade Coordinator: Similar to a garage sale, this is a great way to get/give used games, but the games are traded directly with no money exchanged. https://boardgamegeek.com/wiki/page/Math_Trades
Events Minion: This volunteer must either be familiar with Warhorn (our event management website) or willing to become familiar. They will also help answer email questions about events prior to and during the convention, as well as organize table schedules.
You can reach us via email at volunteer@kantcon.com or submit the form at https://www.kantcon.com/contact

If you're trying to Generate and convert Discord timestamps with ease, an online tool is your best friend. These generators handle all the formatting complexities for you. Instead of manually figuring out the Unix timestamp and the correct Discord syntax, you can simply use a date and time picker, select your preferred display style (e.g., "next Friday at 3 PM" or "in 2 hours"), and the tool provides the ready-to-use code. This is super handy for server announcements, event planning, or any time you need to reference a specific moment clearly for all users.
Ever see those cool, dynamic timestamps in Discord messages that show the time in everyone's local timezone and wonder how they're made? You need to use Discord's specific markdown for it, but a Discord Timestamp Generator makes it incredibly easy! You just input the date and time, choose the format you want (like short date, long time, or relative time), and it gives you the exact code to copy and paste into your message. It's perfect for coordinating events or deadlines with people in different parts of ،the world.
