Early Bird Registration
Early Bird Registration has closed. You should not be on this page.
Early Bird Registration runs: February 1 - March 31, 2024. After that, Online Registration will run through June 14, 2024.
Refunds are not trivial. So before registering, consider the following:

Are You Hosting an Event?: If you want to run a game, give a presentation, or lend your expertise to a panel, the first thing you should do is sign up for the Game Master / Marshall Incentive Program. You will be informed via email if you qualify. You are automatically registered and will receive a badge for those days in which you qualify.

Are You Volunteering?: If you want to help out in other ways, the first thing you should do is sign up to Volunteer. If you're accepted, you are automatically registered and will receive a badge for the day(s) you volunteer.

Are You Service Personnel or an RPGKC Member?: Discounts available to you can make waiting till after Early Bird Registration for regular Online Registration your best value. Note: Early Bird is the only time you can get special packages that include discounted merchandise.

Are You a Vendor/Exhibitor?: Your table(s) includes one 3-day badge and additional badges can be purchased at ½ price. Just let us know how many badges you want went you submit your vendor/exhibitor registration form.

After registering, you can look forward to April 1, 2024, when you can sign up to play in specific games and attend presentations and panels. Do you want to submit an event? Event Submission began March 1, 2024.
Refunds
Partial refunds are possible until June 14th 2024. After that, no refunds will be given.
We encourage you to sell (or trade or gift) your badge to someone who needs a badge. As long as no more than one person is using a badge for any given day, your badge is transferable. You may not transfer a badge you got for free, e.g. for volunteering; however, you may transfer a badge you paid for but don't need anymore because you're getting a free badge.
If you can not find a home for your badge, and it is before June 14 2024, then we can refund 90% of the cost of your badge.
No Retroactive Discounts
If you buy a badge, and later find out you were eligible for a discount, there is no way to retroactively apply that discount. Take solace in the fact that by not taking advantage of your discount, you are supporting KantCon to a greater degree.
Discounts
We honor the following discounts.

GM/Marshall Discount: For each day that you schedule to run 4 hours of events, you qualify for a complimentary badge for that day. The first thing you need to do is fill out the GM/Marshall Discount form. Do this before you register for KandCon or you will miss out on your free badge.

RPGKC Members: Paid active members in good standing of the Role-Players Guild of Kansas City are eligible for a 20% discount of Online and Onsite Registration (but not Early Bird). Contact an RPGKC officer to get the coupon code to enter when buying your badge.

Service Personnel: Active military, policy, fire, and other first responders are eligible for a 20% discount off Online and Onsite Registration (but not Early Bird). Email a picture of a license or other ID that shows your name alongside your service position to discounts@kantcon.com. You will receive a coupon code that can be entered when buying the badge.

No Retroactive Discounts

No Stacking Discounts/Incentives
Badge discounts, the Game Master / Marshall Incentive Program, Volunteer benefits, etc. do not stack. If more than one bonus is applicable, choose one. Examples:

You're running events or volunteering for 4 hours: getting a free badge for that day can not be beat.

You're eligible for a 20% discount: waiting till after Early Bird, for regular Online registration, may be a better value.
Fraud
KantCon makes every effort to keep this convention as affordable as possible. Abuse of the system to fraudulently lower your costs has the effect of increasing the cost for everyone else; this will not be tolerated—expect to be ejected from the premises and your ill-gotten badge confiscated.
